Why do manufacturers do this?

Things That Irk Me: Light headliners in dark interiors

A lovely Brown and Black interior that's ruined by an off-white headliner, with no option for a dark colored one. All manufacturers do this, but some offer a black headliner alternative. Audi does on higher-end models, such as the A6 and A7. But not on a basic "premium" A4.

I guess they do this to make it appear lighter in the interior of the car? I really dunno, I'm not an interior design expert. But, would it kill manufacturers to offer a darker colored option on all models? I'd even be willing to pay a bit more for it.

Does this bug anyone else, or am I just being picky?
