Surprise! You didn't see this coming, didn't you? Here's the latest installation of The Forgotten Concept Cars of the Year. Here, you'll find a collection of photos of concept cars from the same year that are considered forgotten. Legendary concept cars are not included. It's not my birthday today, but here's one for my birth year. Enjoy!
1995 Acura CL-X Concept
1995 Ascari FGT Concept; it was a concept car designed to enter the British GT Championship. It went into limited production in 1997.
1995 Asia Neo Mattina Concept; it's from a now-dead Korean automaker.
1995 Audi TT Concept; it went into production in 1998.
1995 Audi TTS Roadster Concept; it went into production in 1999.
1995 Bentley B3 Concept; it was design by Pininfarina and built by Cogglola. Only 12 were produced for, you guessed it, the Sultan of Brunei. It's likely they're rotting away in a garage that the family forgot about. They were based on a Bentley Continental R. The one pictured was the official concept car.
1995 BMW Z18 Concept; it was finally unveiled 5 years later. It can be configured as a 2-seater roadster or truck or a 4-seater SUV.
1995 Daewoo Bucrane Concept by ItalDesign
1995 Daewoo DACC II Concept by I.DE.A.
1995 Dodge Viper GTS-R Concept #1; this is my son's favourite.
1995 Dodge Viper GTS-R Concept #2; aerodynamic testing in a wind tunnel.
1995 Ferrari FX Concept by Pininfarina; only 7 were produced for the same people who ordered 12 Bentley B3's, but only 6 were delivered. They were based on a Ferrari Testarossa. It is unknown which car was the official concept car, but they all look the same. The FX that was never delivered (pictured) can be seen on display at Marconi Museum in Tustin, California, USA.
1995 Ford Aerosa Concept by Gigliato; it was basically a Ford Mustang with a Japanese coachwork.
1995 Ford Chicane Concept
1995 Ford Triton Concept
1995 Honda Argento Vivo Concept by Pininfarina; the... *sighs* …same people ordered 5 units that were equipped with a Mercedes-Benz 7.3L AMG V12 instead of the Honda 2.5L I5 engine that was fitted in the concept car.
1995 Honda SSM (Sports Study Model) Concept; the Honda S2000's predecessor.
1995 Hyundai HCD-8 Concept
1995 Isuzu Deseo Concept; one of the predecessors to the Isuzu VehiCROSS. Isuzu didn't like this design, and revised the 1993 Isuzu VehiCROSS Concept and put it into production in 1997. I'm glad they did!
1995 Jaguar XJ220 Concept; designed by Pininfarina and built by Cogglola. Do I have to say this again? The same people ordered only one unit. It was the world's fastest one-off custom car at that time.
1995 Jimenez Novia W16 Prototype; it was designed and built in-house, and powered by four Yamaha 1100 motorcycle engines.
1995 Kia KEV 4 Concept
1995 Lancia Kayak Concept by Bertone; it was based on a Lancia Kappa.
1995 Land Rover City Cab Concept; A) Wild B) Ugly C) Stupid D) All of the above. Take your pick. (I suggest option D)

1995 Mazda BU-X Concept
1995 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 308E Elektroantrieb (En: Electric Drive) Concept
