What's the Story Behind Your Car's Nickname?

It's safe to guess that almost every car enthusiast gave their cars nicknames. Therefore calling their cars by their nicknames instead of chassis codes or model names. There are some brilliant, clever, and unique nicknames, however.

Curiosity always seems to step in when people start wondering how car enthusiasts came up with nicknames for their cars. There are cars with nicknames that are named after their owners' favourite person, animal, food, thing, and so on.

My husband and I have three cars, and they all have nicknames. Here's the story behind each nickname.

Frankenstein
Car: 1986 Toyota Hilux 4x4 Xtra-Cab
Story: It was dead and badly beat up when I bought it. With the help of a few cousins, we gave it a second chance in life by rebuilding the engine. After a few days of intense repairs and restoration, it revved to life. No lightning occurred during the resurrection process.

Meringa
Car: 2013 Alfa Romeo MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde
Story: It's an Italian word for my all time favourite pastry called meringue (pie), which is the most popular pastry at our bakery.

Mini Me
Car: 2000 Rover Mini Cooper S
Story: When comparing a Rover Mini Cooper with a modern day BMW Mini Cooper, you'll know why Mini Me is the most appropriate nickname for the former car. *brings pinkie to corner of mouth*
