Exploring the Oddities Of 'Hawaiian Style' Lifted Low Rider Trucks

"Hawaiian Style" trucks feature an interesting combination of lift with a low-rider look and too-skinny tires stretched over wide rims like beach balls.

Rumor has it the nomenclature and originated on Hawaiian beach-cruisers. That would stand to reason I suppose, I've never been to Hawaii but I'm almost positive I've never seen a truck set up quite this way. The wheels look almost as round from the front as they do from the sides.

We all know what proper lifted trucks look like, but what in the actual is this? Is this a sub-trend of bro trucks? More after the jump
